In 2021 Productiehuis Theater Rotterdam launched TRipp [space], a new research- and development platform for creators. Inviting artists to co-create in a space without any limitations or expectations. The sharing of the room causes conflicts between their own desires and that of the collective.
With TRipp [space] multiple powers come together and confront each other because they share time and space. The creators research their own power and how it moves in this situation. This can lead to resistant, transformations, support, conflict, exchange and more of such sorts.
This is a production under the Productiehuis Theater Rotterdam Umbrella. But because of the magnitude of this research- and development platform it is in need of its own trademark that can be communicated to the viewers. The trademark can stand alone but has to be able to incorporate the Productiehuis Theater Rotterdam logo. When communicated it had to be clear what TRipp [space] is.

Room to experiment
In likeminded fashion of TRipp [space], we asked multiple designers of our team to create their own visual and theoretical concepts based on the principles of the research- and development platform. After we discussed all ideas with the team, we continued with the elaboration of the chosen concept.
Concept design
An ever moving ident. Each letter is different representing the different creators working in the space. All the letters intertwine and overlap each other. At some point there is nothing to see but at the other end a well organised and conduct harmony in which everything comes in to place. But in between you can see the movements, the conflict and resistance. It is a wild and bold final product that speaks to the imagination of the viewer.
Style design
The same colours as the umbrella it operates under. The shapes and movements have to a reflection of the research- and development platform. Therefore it can grind, shake, scrape, collide or float. The [space] is a fluid space were everything can happen.
